Why TUR?
Three biggest cycling stage races of road cycling, namely “Grand Tours”, are also called by the shorter version of the local name of the event which mean “tour” in the country’s own language. For instance, while “le tour” is popular in France, Italians used the shorter version as “Giro”. Similarly in Spain “Vuelta” is widely used to refer to Tour of Spain. In sum, both words mean “tour” like “TUR” in Turkey. The other example of the meaningful usage is the IOC’s (International Olympic Committee) country codes where “TUR” is used to refer the Republic of Turkey.

For the Winner; Return airplane ticket, two-night full board accommodation, and transfers from and to the race venue will be covered by the organization committee except visa and/or passport application costs.
